Irakli Kobakhidze attending the Christmas Liturgy

The Speaker, Irakli Kobakhidze and his children attended the Christmas Liturgy in the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

Prior to the service, the attendees heard the Christmas Epistle by the Catholic-Patriarch, Ilia II emphasizing importance of education, freedom of speech and healthy lifestyle.

After the service, the Speaker commented to media and expressed his season’s greetings to the population and spoke about the main messages of the Epistle.

“Merry Christmas to you all. Let the Lord save Georgia. I would like to thank His Holiness and Beatitude for his preaches and the Epistle where he spoke about the concerns of us all. He spoke about the verbal violence, which is one of the acutest problems of our society, he spoke about slander, lies, obscenity, as well as patriotic education and healthy lifestyle – these were the main messages of the Epistle and I would like to thank the Patriarch for them”.

The Liturgy was also attended by MPs, the President of Georgia Mme. Salome Zourabichvili, the Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and the executive authority.
