The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, David Gabaidze presented the medal of the Adjara AR Supreme Council to the Secretary General of the Parliament, Givi Mikanadze for productive cooperation between the legislative bodies.
As David Gabaidze noted, through the long-term cooperation between the IX term Parliament and the AR Supreme Council, close-knit relationships have been accomplished not only amongst the lawmakers of the legislative bodies, yet staffers too.
“It is a significant privilege for me to be awarded with a medal from the Chairman of the Supreme Council. Since 2018, after the Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the two legislatures, active cooperation has begun at both national and international levels, on the basis of which several successful activities have taken place. Together with Mr. David Gabaidze and Zurab Churkveidze we discussed and agreed that this May Batumi shall host another important event organized within the close cooperation of the two legislatures - the First Black Sea Academy envisaged under the auspices of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly with the participation of the staff of the Parliament of Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine”, - G. Mikanadze stated.
Post hoc the welcoming remarks, D. Gabaidze, G. Mikanadze and Z. Churkveidze awarded certificates to 16 staffers of the Adjara Supreme Council, who successfully passed the Distance Learning Module on the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament.
