As per the decision of the Bureau, sundry draft laws were added to the specific issues of the plenary sitting. Representatives of the legislature body will discuss the draft law on State Inspector Service for the I reading.
“The legislative amendments related to the Office of the State Inspector Service are of high importance. I would like to express my gratitude towards the Chair of the Legal Issues Committee for having initiated this issue on time. This will help ensure that full functionality of this institution in terms of its mandate enactment within the timeframe as agreed at the consultations before. Furthermore, this is the subject to a broad agreement and opposition parties as well as civil society have been waiting for this mandate to be implemented”, - Archil Talakvadze noted.
In addition to Bill on the Product Safety and Free Circulation Code, and on Licenses and Permits, amendments to the Law of Georgia on Public Service will also be considered at the plenary sitting.
Representatives of the legislative body will also discuss draft resolutions on the "Early Termination of the Authority of the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri" and recommendations of the Parliament of Georgia on “Initiation of the procedures required by law for the mandatory recognition of the Optional Protocol to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to the Government of Georgia”.
