The Committee members met with the representatives of the Day Centers for Persons with Disabilities, Children and Adults with Special Needs to hear about the needs and the problems of these children and adults.
The parties discussed financing for Day Centers from Budget 2020 and various programs.
The sitting was attended by the Deputy Healthcare Minister, Tamila Barkalaia.
According to the Chair, Sofo Kiladze: “The state strives to make as much as possible positive steps to improve the conditions for the children and adults with disabilities and special needs and we have achieved significant progress compared to the preceding years. However, we still encounter the challenges. We keep communicating with the Centers and will try to reflect their needs in the budget 2020”.
