The procedures and mechanisms of investigation by the Inspector Service are to be improved. The bill on State Inspector Service also defines responsible agencies and officials for investigation and operative activity.
The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, the Human Rights and Civil Integration, the Defense and Security, the Budget and Finance, and the Health Care and Social Issues Committees discussed the bill today.
As the reporter, Anri Okhanashvili noted, the Inspector Service will be set to operation as from November 1. “We shall at maximal extent facilitate the state to properly enact the Inspector Service within the established term and to ensure its uninterrupted operation. The changes we have submitted serve for effective and high quality investigation. The second key task envisages creation of the social guarantees for the employees of the agency exercising the investigative functions”.
The bill envisages establishment of the new position – operative worker to facilitate to effective investigation with the functions of operative-investigative activity on criminal cases.
The bill envisages establishment of the internship system in the IS allowing the fresh lawyers obtaining practical experience. If adopted, the law will exempt the persons from the qualified examinations in the Training Center of Justice, who have already passed the tests for the judges, prosecutors and lawyers.
The Committees approved the bill.
