The Health Care and Social Issues, and the EU Integration Committees heard the Deputy IDPs Minister, Giorgi Tsotskolauri speaking about implementation of the first half of the National Action Plan for 2019 on EUAA Implementation in Employment, Social Policy and Equal Opportunities, and in Public Health Care sphere.
As the reporter noted, upon enactment of the Labor Safety Law, the Labor Inspection has inspected 700 objects countrywide, and re-inspected 121 facilities.
“As for June, 2019, 286075 employment-seekers have been registered in the labor market management system, including 18626 IDPs and 8003 persons with disabilities. 1339 persons, including 90 IDPs have been included in professional requalification program. We have received 10 applications on appointment of the mediator within the accounting period. 9 of them were under mediation process”.
He spoke about integration/re-integration, social rehabilitation and child care and answered the questions.
The Committees took note of the report, though required submission of additional information. After the report, the Health Care Committee resumed with the sitting.
The Chair, Akaki Zoidze introduced the bills on Tax Code, and on Mental Aid. The first bill facilitates to reduction of smoking and the second bill eliminates the gaps in mental aid system.
The Committee discussed the bill on Tobacco Control by Guram Macharashvili applying various directions, including: inclusion of tobacco under import regulations and taxation. The bill envisages different medical warning rule on the new product. MPs, civil society, and international experts expressed their positions about the bill.
