The first meeting was held with the Chairs of the Foreign Relations Committees of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The parties underlined Georgia-Romania political and economic cooperation, relations in the Black Sea format and priorities and agenda of Romania as the EU Council presiding country.
“Romania is a strong supporter of Georgia in EU and NATO integration, as well as in sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country. That is why it is important to even further enhance our links on the Parliamentary level as well, especially against the background that Romania is the EU Council presiding country”, - S. Katsarava noted.
The Parliamentary Delegation will hold the meetings with the Foreign Minister of Romania, Vice Prime Minister, Chair of the European Affairs Committee and Committee members, as well as with the Head of OSCE PA Delegation and Romania-Georgia Friendship Group.
