The OSCE PA President, MP Giorgi Tsereteli expressed condolences to Ukrainian people due to the crash of the craft of Ukrainian Airlines and made the record in the Condolence Book in the Ukrainian Embassy.
“It is the gravest tragedy and our duty is to express our solidarity to Ukrainian people. Although, not only the Ukrainian citizens have been flying from Teheran but the representatives of other countries, our condolences are directed to all of them. However, the craft belongs to Ukraine and the crew was Ukrainian. Naturally, Ukraine is in the spotlight in this regard. Now, it is paramount to ensure the objective investigation as soon as possible. The President of Ukraine has called on everyone to abstain from conclusions until the accomplishment of the investigation. I hail the international community to be engaged in investigation. Today, we express our condolences and solidarity to the families of the victims and to our Ukrainian friends”, - he noted.
January 9 is declared as the Mourning Day in Ukraine to commemorate the victims of the crash.
