The Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee approved the Legal Initiative of at least 25 000 Electors
The Committee discussed the legal initiative of at least 25 000 electors – the Draft Code of Administrative Offenses.
According to the Founder of NGO “My City Kills Me” and “Green Pole”, Giorgi Japaridze, the Draft establishes the responsibility for the drivers of the vehicles emitting the colored exhausts, legal entities and sole entrepreneurs.
“The driver, in view to avoid the offense and a sanction, will ensure the roadworthiness of own vehicle”, - the reporter elucidated.
According to the Chair of the Committee, Mikheil Sarjveladze, we welcomed the activity of the citizens: “I welcome the application of such opportunities by the citizens that imply the cooperation with the Parliament and submission of the positions concerning the Bills and initiatives; we cherish the positive attitude toward such initiatives”.
The Draft is relevant, he stated. As MPs noted, the discussion on the enactment term and the transitional provisions will continue. The Committee approved the Draft.
