The Agrarian Issues Committee to monitor the effective management of the agricultural land resources under the state ownership
The Committee held a meeting of the Working Group on monitoring the effective management of the agricultural land resources under the state ownership and heard the report of the Group on the development of the National Pasture Management Policy document and information on the state program for accessibility to the state pastures, lands registered within the I quarter of 2022 within the system registration, and alienation of agrarian lands within the state property privatization.
Information was introduced by the representatives of the Environmental Ministry, National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring, National Public Register Agency, and the National State Property Agency.
As noted, the National Policy on Pasture Management will be developed as of the end of April to start the development of the respective Law.
“Today, we held the third meeting of the Working Group. The presentations introduced were interesting on system registration in the Public Registry, and leasing of pastures by the Land Agency. We heard information about the development of the state policy and agreed that the Parliament will shape the document as a concept and will start the development of the respective Law. We discussed the issues of the Property Agency activity related to the alienation of the agricultural lands. The Committee will keep working on these issues”, - the Chair, Nino Tsilosani stated.
