The Vice-Speaker, Archil Talakvadze and MP Salome Kurasbediani held a meeting with the Members of the Delegation of the Federal Academy for Security Policy of Germany (BAKS).

The parties deliberated on the progress of Georgia on the EU integration path, the national security policy and the merit that Georgia contributes to international security.

“It was a very interesting meeting with the Delegation composed of the officials of the public agencies of Germany and the representatives of the private sector. It is a representative delegation working on security policy. The guests arrived in Georgia to personally hear information about the progress of Georgia on the EU integration path and how Georgia envisions its security policy, and what is our contribution to international security. We had a very interesting discussion with interesting questions. This meeting is an excellent opportunity for us to inform our partners about the reality and the truth of the Georgian side. We also dwelt on the EU candidacy and I believe that German society, including our guests, cherishes a positive attitude and they need to have arguments why Georgia deserves the EU candidate statys and that its postponement in this very moment will be truly detrimental to the EU and Georgia”, - A.
