In line with the Decree of the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, MP Baia Kvitsiani was assigned to chair the Standing Parliamentary Council for Protection of the Rights of the Child.

The Council has been set up in view of ensuring coordinated and regular scrutiny of the rights of children, development of the respective legislation and oversight of the enforcement of the made decisions.
