The Chair of the Permanent Parliamentary Council for the Protection of the Rights of the Child, Baia Kvitsiani held a meeting with the UNICEF Representative to Georgia, Jesper Moller and deliberated on the key directions in the protection of the rights of children and the prospects of further cooperation.

“It was a very important meeting with the UNICEF Representative. The Memorandum concluded between the UNICEF and our Council expires in December. We discussed the necessity to extend the validity of the document and new tasks that we have outlined for the protection of children – raising awareness and the events related to the legal harmonization. We concentrated on scheduled joint events”, - B. Kvitsiani noted.

The parties dwelt on the aspects of further cooperation related to the Child Code and the thematic inquiries.
