Beka Natsvlishvili: the Proportional Electoral System is only the opportunity and not the goal, while the goal is to eliminate the problems

“The rally on “Proportional Elections for Better Country” is scheduled on November 24 to be held at 15h00 in front of Concert Hall”, - the Independent MP Beka Natsvlishvili commented to media. The rally requirements are as follows:

  • Proportional elections;
  • Prevention of the snap elections;
  • All the political forces willing to run shall today declare about their plans after the elections.

As B. Natsvlishvili noted, real political changes would be hard to achieve without the proportional elections and “Georgian Dream” tensing the situation, and the “National Movement” by specific activities lead to the snap elections. Believe me, these two forces will benefit from the snap elections and it will be one of the pillars of this rally. The time when it was declared that let’s see after the elections – shall end. There are lots of problems in the country in terms of poverty, unemployment, gambling, increased prices, medicines, low-quality education, healthcare system, pensions, etc. and the population wants these problems to be solved.

The proportional electoral system is only the opportunity and not the goal, while the goal is to eliminate the problems. Every political force voting for the proportional elections shall today declare about their plans for the elimination of these problems. Otherwise, the society will be deceived again no matter by the proportional, majoritarian or German model elections.

The rally scheduled on November 24 is organized by: Independent MP Beka Natsvlishvili, laborers’ union “Solidarity Network” and Tbilisi Transport Trade Union “Unity 2013”.
