At today’s briefing Gia Tortladze, Chairman of Anti-Crisis Council discussed the planned amnesty for November 23 and declared that about three thousand defendants will be discharged.
According to Gia Tortladze, this decision was made by Georgian Authority with Anti-Crisis Council’s recommendation. "We rose a question to discharge about three thousand defendants” – stated Gia Tortladze.
As he explained, there will be discharged the defendants who were condemned for light crime and also who had suspended sentence. Gia Tortladze stated that such a big amnesty in Georgia has not executed for a long time.
Anti-Crisis Council has passed the list of 20 famous persons for discharging them to the Authority. Gia Tortladze named only one of them Shalva Ramishvili, General Director of TV Company 202.
