Meeting of David Songhulashvili with Representatives of USAID

The Chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, David Songhulashvili, recently met with representatives from the US Agency for International Development (USAID), including Mission Director John Pennell, Economic Growth Office Director Michelle Koscielski, and Senior Advisor for Private Sector Development David Tsiklauri.
During the meeting, the participants discussed various projects that have been implemented and are currently ongoing with the support of USAID. They also explored areas where USAID's involvement will continue to be important in the future.
Chairman Songhulashvili highlighted the significance of energy independence for the country's stability, the importance of efficient intercity transport, and the positive impact of developing wine tourism on Georgia's economy. He also expressed appreciation for the positive role played by the US authorities and American partners in the process of Georgia receiving the recommendation for EU membership candidate status.
