The Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, David Songulashvili and the First Deputy Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Khatia Tsilosani held a meeting with the Director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community, Artur Lorkowski and deliberated on the energy market development and the energy security of Georgia.

The emphasis was made on the Black Sea submarine cabling, its importance and prospects, as well as the unbundling of the electricity and natural gas sectors and the certification of the Transmission System Operator (TOS).

The parties touched upon the new challenges emerging in relation to the construction of new high-voltage HPPs in the country.

As Mr. Lorkowski noted, the Energy Community is committed to cooperating and assisting Georgia in reforming of the energy sector.
