The Gender Equality Council modifying the Action Plan for 2022-2024

The Council has discussed and approved the amendments to be introduced to the Action Plan for 2022-2024. As clarified by the Chair of the Council, Nino Tsilosani, the amendments envisage the thematic inquiry on “Coercive Environment in Politics and its Impact on Women Participating in Politics”, intensification of cooperation with the media and the gender analysis of the rural development programs.
The amendments also concern the cooperation with the women defenders, training for the state agencies on the economic empowerment of women, public awareness of single parents, and municipal services in support of the victims of violence.
The master’s program on gender inquiry by Tbilisi State University and the Report on “Analyzing Engagement of the Employed Family Members/Informal Economy Actors in the Accumulating Pension Scheme in view of Formalization of Informal Economy were introduced to the attendees.
