Parliamentary Standing Council of Open Government to be Headed by Shalva Papuashvili

Today, a session of the Parliamentary Standing Council of Open Government took place in the Parliament, with Chairman Shalva Papuashvili presiding over the council from now on.
Formerly led by MP Givi Mikanadze, he will now serve as a council member following his election as the Chairman of the Education and Science Committee.
The Speaker thanked Givi Mikanadze for his effective work as the head of the Council.
"I appreciate the Council's valuable contributions as an essential component of the Parliament. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Givi for his efforts and achievements. Considering the Council's involvement in significant organizational matters such as secretariat, budget, joint planning, and vision, I have decided to personally oversee the Council's activities. By taking on this role, I aim to expedite decision-making processes, ensure efficient implementation, and build upon our successful practices", - Shalva Papuashvili stated.
