Mr. Givi Mikanadze, the Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, within the framework of his visit to New York, held a meeting with the Assistant Secretary-General, Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States, Ivana Živković.

The sides reviewed the years of productive bilateral cooperation and the prospects for future cooperation.

The special emphasis was placed on the significance of the considerations initiated between the Georgian Government and the UN agencies for the signing of the frame agreement on the activities for 2025-2030. The parties underlined the necessity of planning certain programs by the UN agencies.

Madame Živković expressed her sincere gratitude to the Georgian Government for its high-ranking cooperation and engagement.

She emphasised her upcoming visit to Georgia, scheduled for the end of May, which presents a unique opportunity to engage in comprehensive discussions with the Georgian authorities regarding further cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Resident Representative of Georgia to the UN and international organizations, Mr. David Bakradze.
