Meeting of Irakli Kobakhidze with Ambassador of USA

The Leader of Parliamentary Majority, Irakli Kobakhidze met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of USA, H.E. Kelly Degnan.
The sides discussed the current relations between Georgia and the United States and future prospects with a particular emphasis on regional security issues.
The sides also dwelt on the ongoing processes in Ukraine, and Russia's aggressive actions.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the parliamentary agenda as well as domestic political processes and future development prospects.
"During the meeting with the Ambassador, we had a very friendly conversation on various topics. These were, among other things, Georgian-American relations, future perspectives, as well as domestic political processes, future development prospects, issues of cooperation with political parties in parliament, and the parliamentary agenda in general”, - Irakli Kobakhidze said after the meeting.
According to Kelly Degnan, during the meeting, the parties discussed the priorities of the ruling party for the next parliamentary session.
"I was pleased to learn that the parliamentary agenda also includes constitutional changes. This is an opportunity for all Georgian political leaders to engage in work on the country's priority issues, both externally, the threat posed by Russia, as well as internal challenges such as economic recovery, the COVID-19 situation and sundry social issues”, - Kelly Degnan stated.
