The Vice Speaker, the Faction “Patriots of Georgia” Member, Irma Inashvili held the briefing on the Presidential elections stating that December 2 rally of the National Movement regarding the returns of the elections entails questions to be answered by investigation.

“This rally was held in response to our November 25 rally attended by thousands. I would like to remind you that our rally was attended by more than 100 000 supporters 85 000 of which were from Tbilisi and 14 000 from the regions. These were the people of all ages and professions. It is important that we welcomed 124 supporters from Abkhazia and 85 from Akhalgori”, - she noted and asked the questions to the respective agencies and experts.

If the party is really supported by 780 000 electors, than at least 30 000 of them shall attend their rallies while the National Movement rally was attended 3 000 at much which entails questions and doubts especially when the National Movement has 3 000 activists in fact using in capacity of the audience at their rallies.

“Thus, being the Member of Parliament I demand immediate investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office and the MIA of authenticity of alleged 780 000 electors of the National Movement. I will be strict to state that it is a political speculation with participation of Saakashvili-Bokeria and certain officials from Georgian Dream”.

The fact that despite the changed number of electors at the rally the number of the National Movement – 780 000 remains unchanged is suspicious. It is also to be defined why their rating remains unchanged for years while the rating of all other political parties varies. These questions shall be answered by the executive authorities and experts.

She addressed the Chief Prosecutor and Head of State Security Service: “I address the Interior Minister, Chief Prosecutor and Head of SSS to immediately start investigation to verify authenticity of alleged 780000 electors of the National Movement who organize the political speculations of this party”.

She also addressed the Parliament to timely submit the resolution by the Patriots to the plenary session.

“National Movement is the group of criminals and they shall be prosecuted”.
