Khatia Tsilosani: the recommendations have been developed to ensure the uninterruptedness of the activity of the Parliament during the state emergency and crisis situation
The Permanent Parliamentary Open Government Council discussed the uninterruptedness of the activity of the Parliament upon the state emergency and crisis situation at the meeting of the working group.
The recommendations have been developed with the UNDP support and engagement of the Parliamentary Staff to ensure the uninterruptedness of the activity of the Parliament by electronic and physical participation.
According to the Head of the Working Group, Khatia Tsilosani, the recommendations will be established gradually to facilitate the improvement of the existing practice.
“Thus, the Parliament will have the opportunity to, in case of the state of emergency and crisis situation, ensure complete functioning which serves for the protection of the best interests of the population and uninterruptedness of the ratification of the Governmental decisions”, - she stated.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Parliament and the representatives of GYLA and UNDP.
