The Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Maia Bitadze met with the Director of the Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus), Sopho Akhobadze to discuss the issue of waste management.

The Chair of the Committee was updated by Sopho Akhobadze on the status of the project to support the growth of waste management and the circular economy in Georgia.

The parties also discussed future strategies for creating and carrying out waste management and circular economy initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Doug Hickman, head of the EU project "Waste Management and Development of Circular Economy in Georgia ".
