Meeting of Mariam Lashkhi with Members of Students’ Parliament

Mariam Lashkhi, Deputy Chairperson of the Foreign Relations Committee, met with members of the Students’ Parliament to discuss Digital Diplomacy.
The MP talked to the students about the importance of developing digital diplomacy for Georgia and introduced the state policy and the role of the Parliament in this direction.
The need to develop digital diplomacy in the field of education and women's empowerment, future initiatives, and challenges were discussed at the meeting.
M. Lashkhi also briefed the youth on the activities of the Permanent Parliamentary Council for Gender Equality and also focused on the issue of gender quotas in the legislature.
"We talked about our country's foreign policy and the vision of the Committee. We covered the issues of digital diplomacy as one of the important components of foreign policy. We talked about the Paris Equality Forum and the role of innovation and technology. We agreed that the Students’ Parliament will work out certain initiatives and cooperate with our committee”, - Mariam Lashkhi remarked.
