Within the 11th convocation, the Interim Commission on Restoration of Territorial Integrity and De-occupation held the first sitting for the deliberations on the organizational issues; the Commission approved Eka Sepashvili as the Secretary of the Commission and endorsed the Charter of the Commission.
The Commission also engaged in a discussion regarding the analysis of the reports of the United Nations Security General on the pre-August War 2008 period, as well as the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
“We have reviewed a portion of the material, which we anticipate will be delegated to the Interim Fact-Finding Commission on the Activities of the Regime and the Political Officials of the Regime of 2003-2012 for review. These materials include the analysis of the UN Secretary General’s reports and the UN Security Council’s resolutions, which are indicative of the developments and processes occurring during the period of 2004-2009 and are pertinent to the tragedies that Georgia experienced in August 2008”, - Giorgi Volski, the Chair of the Commission noted.
