Meeting of Mikheil Sarjveladze with Students Representing Ethnic Minorities
The Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Mikheil Sarjveladze, met with students representing ethnic minorities within the framework of the project - "Participatory Politics and Minorities" to discuss the current processes in the country and talk about the importance of ethnic diversity of Georgia.
"Relationships with people, and in particular with the segment of society that the youth represent, are of utmost significance to us. Because of this, such gatherings are even more crucial when they involve areas that are heavily populated by ethnic minorities. It is crucial to engage in conversation and discussion with these young people and to provide as many opportunities for face-to-face contact as possible. Learning about the perspectives that the representatives of these regions have on the various important issues facing the nation was enlightening”, - Mikheil Sarjveladze commented.
The project "Participatory Politics and Ethnic Minorities" is organized by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation) on September 24-27.
