Nino Tsilosani: The competitiveness of Georgian agricultural goods depends on the use of new agricultural innovations and technologies

The Agrarian Issues Committee is preparing a thematic report on the Introduction of Innovations and Technologies in Agriculture.
For this reason, the Chair of the Committee, Nino Tsilosani held the working meeting with the heads of the Rural Development Agency, Enterprise Georgia, and the Innovation and Technology Agency of Georgia.
"One of the key objectives of my work as the Committee Chair will be the subject of bringing innovations and technologies in agriculture. The leaders of the pertinent agencies provided information at the meeting today about the introduction of innovations and technologies in agriculture. According to the research, Georgia's yield per hectare is significantly lower than that of industrialized nations, and it is obvious that raising the yield is necessary to maintain the competitiveness of Georgian agricultural products. Without introducing innovations and new technologies, we cannot accomplish this. We decided on a course of action. The action steps that the Agricultural Development Agency and other organizations should take to implement innovations and technology in agriculture will be described in the thematic report. I'm hoping that our combined efforts will yield the desired outcomes", - Nino Tsilosani stated after the meeting.
The thematic report is supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
