The Thematic Inquiry Group set up jointly at the Agrarian Issues, the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, and the Education and Science Committees on “Accessibility to Education adjusted to Market Demands in the Modern Agrarian and Environmental Direction” held the first verbal hearing.

At the meeting, presided by the Main Rapporteur, Giorgi Tsagareishvili, the Group heard the representatives of the educational institutions reporting on the agrarian and environmental educational programs in higher and vocational institutions.

G. Tsagareishvili highlighted the objective of the inquiry and the necessity to address the existing problems. “If we fail to solve these problems today, we will hardly become a competitive society in many directions”, - he elucidated.

According to him, the outcomes of the inquiry and the developed recommendations will be submitted to the state agencies.

The inquiry aims at the identification of the deficient professions in the agrarian and environmental sphere and study the reasons of the hereof deficit.
