The Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili and MPs visited Republic Square to deliver the Christmas presents to the Carol Singers.

The Speaker wished a Merry Christmas to the Orthodox world.

“I wish Merry Christmas to every Orthodox Christian, everyone celebrating the Christmas on January 7, I wish health, happiness and joy that this bright day brings to us. I would like to deliver my special wishes to our compatriots residing abroad and on the occupied territories”, - he stated.

The traditional Carol March has been modified this year due to the pandemic – the street march is replaced with the distribution of the sweets and presents to the Gutter Houses, Shelters and Penitentiary Departments.
