The meeting of MPs with the Pedagogues of Public Schools in Chugureti Region and the parents being the members of the Supervisory Board

The First Vice-Speaker, Chugureti Single Mandate MP Giorgi Volski, Chair of the Education and Science Committee Giorgi Amilakhvari, and the Deputy Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream” Rima Beradze met with the pedagogues of public schools in Chugureti region and the parents - members of the Supervisory Board.
G. Amilakhvari informed the pedagogues about the novelties.
“It is always important to receive information from a primary source about the issues and decisions related to school education made by the Georgian Dream. The feedback from such meetings serves as the basis for our further decisions. None of the decisions about education is made without feedback from the main beneficiaries – pedagogues and school administration”, - he stated.
The pedagogues and the parents overviewed the challenges and the achievements and introduced their positions on the improvement of general education.
The meeting was held in School N29 with the initiative of R. Beradze. “The Education and Science Committee holds systematic offsite sittings and meetings with the representatives of the education sphere, is it schools, universities or other institutions. Today, we visit Chugureti region and I am glad as it is a second offsite sitting in our region. There are 14 public schools in this region and today, we meet the Principals of all of them, including the Board of Trustees. We heard and discussed their problems and challenges”.
According to G. Volski, significant projects are being implemented in the educational sphere, including rehabilitation and construction.
“These are important projects in the educational system, including rehabilitation and construction. We shall reconcile and form our position also on Chugureti region”.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Education Minister, Tamar Makharashvili and Chugureti Governor, David Utmelidze, as well as the Head of Chugureti Resource Center, Eka Kvirikashvili.
