According to the Speaker, a renovated Office will facilitate active civic engagement in the Parliamentary activity. “Today, we opened a Civic Engagement Center – one of the ideas developed within the Permanent Open Governance Council, which has been realized earlier, though deriving from the pandemic-related restrictions, has not been open. Now, all our citizens can enjoy this service through the one-stop principle. This Office also includes a meeting room allowing the citizens to meet the Members of the Parliament and the staffers. The upgraded Service Office offers a child-care room the visitors, allowing them to leave their children under the proper care of the specialists. I would like to thank our donors for this idea and the Open Governance Council for making this idea real with the engagement of our Staff”, - the Speaker stated.
The Secretary General, Ketevan Kvinikadze noted that the visitors will enjoy various novelties in the upgraded Service Office. “This Office offers a one-stop service to our citizens. The services include the main services and additional information that our citizens may need for their active engagement in the Parliamentary life. The data plate will offer various publications. It is noteworthy that the Office includes the room for the children, where the visitors can leave their children and enjoy the services”, - she stated.
