Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to Deliver Annual Address to Parliament on 26 June

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, will deliver his annual address to Parliament on 26 June. The announcement was made by the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, at today’s meeting of the Bureau.
Under the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, the Prime Minister is required to submit, once a year and during the final month of the spring plenary sessions, a report to Parliament on the progress made in implementing the Government Programme.
As Shalva Papuashvili explained, Parliament will review annual reports during the final plenary week of the spring session. On 23 June, Members of Parliament will hear the report of the Public Defender; on 24 June, the report of the Prosecutor General; and on 25 June, the report of the Auditor General.
During the current session week, Members of Parliament will also consider draft laws and elect members of the Board of Trustees of the Georgian Public Broadcaster.
At the Bureau meeting, lead and mandatory committees were designated for newly initiated legislative proposals, and various organizational matters were discussed.
