Meeting of Rati Ionatamishvili with PM’s Advisor on Human Rights

Rati Ionatamishvili, Deputy Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee, met with Niko Tatulashvili, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Human Rights.
The introductory meeting focused on the legal status of persons with disabilities and in this context the importance of close cooperation between the Parliament of Georgia and the administration of the Government was particularly emphasized.
"It was important for us to expand on the issues related to people with disabilities, especially after we adopted the new law on the rights of people with disabilities. Close cooperation and coordination between the Parliament of Georgia and the Administration of the Government is of particular importance for the correct and prompt decisions to be made in terms of the policies of persons with disabilities and the protection of their rights. Therefore, we have set the first set of tasks and I am sure that the cooperation will be effective and yield specific results”, - Rati Ionatamishvili stated.
