Georgian Parliamentary Delegation Meets with Portuguese Parliamentary Delegation

Within the framework of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session, the Georgian Parliamentary Delegation held a bilateral meeting with the Parliamentary Delegation of Portugal.
The Portuguese delegation reaffirmed its support for Georgia's territorial integrity and the country’s integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions.
At the request of the Portuguese representatives, members of the Georgian Parliament provided an overview of the current security situation in Georgia and the wider Black Sea region, highlighting the ongoing occupation of Georgian territories by Russia and the risks and opportunities arising amid broader geopolitical shifts.
Both sides expressed readiness to further enhance cooperation within the framework of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
The meeting was attended by members of the Georgian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly: Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee Givi Mikanadze and Chair of the European Integration Committee Levan Makhashvili.
