Georgian Parliamentary Delegation Meets with Slovenian Parliamentary Delegation

Within the framework of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Georgia, led by Givi Mikanadze, held a bilateral meeting with the Slovenian parliamentary delegation.
The discussions focused on the current developments in Georgia and the wider region, the ongoing Russian occupation, Georgia’s relations with neighbouring countries, the country’s path toward EU membership, and the security challenges facing the Black Sea region.
Participants underlined the important role of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and interparliamentary relations.
The Slovenian representatives spoke about the upcoming NATO PA Annual Session scheduled for this autumn, which will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The meeting was also attended by members of the Georgian delegation to the NATO PA: Chair of the European Integration Committee Levan Makhashvili and First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee Mariam Lashkhi.
