The First Deputy Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Salome Kurasbediani met with schoolchildren from Public Schools of Dusheti Municipality; the meeting was dedicated to the deliberation of the EU candidate status for Georgia, the fulfillment of 9 EU recommendations, the EU membership value, the environmental reforms, gender equality, violence against women, economic growth, migration and the developments in the region.

“The questions of the children were sincere including about the acute problems. It is imperative to raise the interest of more and more children and youth in the processes in the country since the civic engagement facilitates the development of healthy political milieu and raises awareness of the population”, - S. Kurasbediani noted.
