The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Miloš Vystrčil to discuss the friendly and partnership relations between the two countries.

The parties overviewed the aspects of further cooperation in various spheres and in this context emphasized the importance of bolstering of the Parliamentary links.

The parties touched upon the situation in the region and the Russian aggression against Ukraine and reaffirmed their solidarity and support for Ukraine.

As one of the agenda issues, the parties dwelt on the EU integration of Georgia and the importance of close inter-parliamentary communication in this process.

The Speaker underlined that the sharing of the experience of the Czech Republic will be of utmost value on the EU integration path of our country. He thanked the Czech politician for the intact support of the Czech Republic to the Western aspiration of Georgia and expressed commitment to intensive cooperation.
