During the visit to Portugal, the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili held a public lecture at the University of Lisbon.

He introduced to fellow researchers and students of the International Affairs Institute the ways for the EU integration of Georgia and underlined the historical importance of the European perspective for Georgia.

The Speaker overviewed the ongoing geopolitical changes in the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region and the situation in the occupied regions of Georgia, dwelling on the potential of the region to serve as a corridor between Europe and Asia for the transport, energy resource transit and trade.
