The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the President of the Storting (Parliament of Norway), H.E. Masud Gharahkhani.

The parties overviewed the cooperation between Georgia and Norway and stressed the importance of the enhancement of the Parliamentary links. The Speaker dwelt on the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Georgia and noted that providing a new geopolitical reality, it is time for NATO to, at the Madrid Summit, send a clear and proper message to Georgia and offer the real ways for becoming the member of the NATO.

According to him, Georgia appreciates the support of Norway for the NATO aspiration of our country. He overviewed the cooperation of Georgia with NATO and underlined the aid provided by Norway to Georgia.

As Mr. Gharahkhani noted, Norway intends to keep strongly supporting the territorial integrity and the Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia.
