Meeting of Shalva Papuashvili with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan

The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili met with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Mr. Abdulla Aripov.
The parties accentuated the successful cooperation between the countries during 30 years of diplomatic relations. Speaker Papuashvili concentrated on parliamentary cooperation and the ties between the Friendship Groups.
The discourse included the transport-transit function of both regions for the realization of the middle corridor potential. In this context, cooperation in the spheres of economics, energy and air and railway transport and projects were highlighted, including the opportunity of the opening of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Georgia.
The meeting was held within the framework of the official visit of the Speaker and the Parliamentary Delegation to Central Asia.
