Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, together with President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, and members of the Government and Parliament, visited the Veterans’ Culture and Recreation Park in Tbilisi, where they congratulated veterans on Victory Day over Fascism.

Members of Parliament and representatives of the executive government laid wreaths at the monument of Meliton Kantaria located in the park and paid tribute to those who lost their lives in World War II.

Today, 9 May, marks the 81st anniversary of the victory over fascism in World War II.
