The member of the Georgia-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group, Shota Khabareli and the Georgian Judokas participating in the Paris Olympics 2024 met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, H.E. ISHIZUKA Hideki in his official residence.

The Ambassador delivered the certificate of recognition to Sh. Khabareli for his special merit contributed to the friendship between Georgia and Japan.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of France, H.E. Sheraz Gasri with the status of an honored guest, who congratulated Sh. Khabareli and the Georgian judokas, regarding their achievements at the Olympics.

As noted, Sh. Khabareli has a great deal in facilitating the development of the young judokas.

After ending his sports career, Sh. Khabareli was the head coach of the national judo team for two decades.
