Meeting of Tamar Taliashvili and Givi Mikanadze with the CoE Co-Secretary to the Joint Council on Youth

The members of the Parliamentary Delegation to PACE, Tamar Taliashvili and Givi Mikanadze held a meeting with the CoE Co-Secretary to the Joint Council on Youth, Joanne Hunting.
Georgian MPs raised the issue of the establishment of the CoE Youth Center in Georgia, namely, in the city of Kutaisi. As noted, the hereof idea will be fully backed by the state.
“Providing that the CoE Youth Centers already operate in Strasbourg and Budapest, the opening of another Youth Center in Kutaisi will facilitate the integration of the youth of the countries of the region and Near East into the CoE youth projects”, - G. Mikanadze underlined.
The parties touched upon the Youth Policy Concept ratified by the Parliament of Georgia and underlined the contribution of Georgia to the development of the CoE Youth Sector Strategy 2030 during the CoE presidency of Georgia.
Mme. Hunting gave a positive assessment to the offer of the Georgian Delegation. The parties agreed on further in-depth consultations regarding the said offer with the administration of the Council of Europe.
