The Defence and Security Committee Took Note of the Annual Report on the Execution of Georgia’s 2025 State Budget

At a meeting of the Defence and Security Committee, First Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze presented the Annual Report on the Execution of Georgia’s 2025 State Budget.
According to the First Deputy Minister, during the reporting period, the Defence Ministry executed its budget at 100.2%; the Internal Affairs Ministry at 100%; the Penitentiary Department at 99.2%; the State Security Service at 100%; and the Special State Protection Service at 99.6%.
In presenting the report, Giorgi Kakauridze briefed committee members on budget revenues, expenditures, and key macroeconomic indicators. He also provided information on revenues generated from the external sector, as well as from taxes, grants, and privatization. According to Kakauridze, revenues increased significantly across all of these areas compared to the previous year.
He noted that in 2025, state budget revenues amounted to GEL 27.802 billion, while cash expenditures totaled GEL 27.723 billion.
During the meeting, the First Deputy Minister also presented the Government’s report on the Main Macroeconomic Forecasts and the Key Priorities of Georgia’s Ministries, outlining the projected indicators and targets planned for the coming years.
The Committee positively assessed the Annual Report.
