The meeting of Grigol Loluashvili with the representatives of the Open Society-Georgia Foundation and the Regional Development Center

The working meeting was held with the representatives of the Open Society-Georgia Foundation and the Regional Development Center on civil involvement mechanisms in municipal priorities and budget development.
As the Manager of Local Democracy Development Program of Open Society-Georgia Foundation, Tiniko Bolkvadze noted, the Foundation holds activity in this direction for years and actively cooperates with the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee. “Open Society-Georgia Foundation facilitates to the surveys, implementation of various projects, development and introduction of the drafts on the basis of the analytical data. Coordinated activity with all the institutions is a good example how all concerned parties can assemble and discuss the relevant issues. I would like to thank the Parliament for active participation in this process” – T. Bolkvadze stated.
The Chair of the RDC, Liza Sopromadze introduced the detailed information about the project.
The Chair of the Committee, Grigol Loluashvili introduced the future plans of the Committee and noted that one of the main directions and priorities is enhancement of civil involvement. “I hail to have more instruments to understand the needs and problems of people and to make them feel we participate in this process”.
The parties agreed on future cooperation.
“The meeting was interesting and very important. We spoke about future plans and agreed on cooperation format. The representatives of this society will be actively involved in the Committee activity, as well as all other representatives of international organizations and donors”, - G. Liluashvili stated.
