The Deputy-Chair of Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee hosted Zestafoni graduates and youth parliament members in Kutaisi. The youth parliament established to support Zestafoni municipality, is composed of IX-XII grade children.

Sh. Kiknavelidze spoke about youth activities and involvement. “Many good ideas and measures exist that you can use for implementation of new youth project. You can also design the field events, regional meeting. The state works a lot in this direction and plans various youth projects supported by the Sports Ministry and Youth and Children Fund as well as National Centre”.

According to the Head of the Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Issues Service of Zestafoni, M. Khvedelidze, youth parliament convenes intermittently to discuss relevant issues, develop projects and cooperate with municipality.

The participant of the meeting was Zestafoni Single Mandate, G. Kavtaradze. He introduced functions, purpose, structure and activity of the Parliament. “Young generation shall acknowledge the function of the Parliament. I think this meeting was very informative”.

Sh. Kiknavelidze answered the questions, spoke about joint events and projects and future plans, also promised his support. “Let’s involve everyone concerned and ask the relevant questions. It all depends on your activity. You have the resources to launch and implement new projects. You have our support and I will be one of the organizers and participants of this process”. The parties agreed on future cooperation aspects.
