The meeting of the Deputy-Chair of EU Integration Committee, Levan Berdzenishvili with the Interns

L. Berdzenishvili spoke about activity and structure of the Parliament, the role, function and importance thereof, as well as the partial and political composition. He emphasized the legislative processes and introduced the legislative news and changes, as well as sundry important laws recently passed by the Parliament.

The interns were introduced by the representative of the HR Department and Internship coordinator, Guliko Ratiani. According to her, “the primary objective of this program is to prepare personnel in the Parliament for legislative and organizational activity to be implemented independently”.

L. Berdzenishvili underlined importance of internship upon rotation in the Staff. According to him, the internship is most impartially held in the Parliament. He answered the questions about legislative activity, European course and EU integration process. He emphasized the role of approximation to Europe. He wished interns success and expressed his hope that they will continue active political activity.

“I would like to see people amongst you who will assume the country and lead it to the structures we spoke about. I wish you successful activity in the Parliament”. In 2015 there are 24 interns with the term of 6 months. The interns are actively involved in the activity, are get introduced with the specifics of the Committees and Departments and attend the plenary sessions. The internship process envisages the meetings with the Committees, Factions, majority and minority leaders, as well as MPs.
