The meeting of the Georgia-Kuwait Friendship Group with the Kuwait-Georgia Friendship Group

The Head of Georgia-Kuwait Friendship Group, G. Agulashvili and group members met with the Kuwait-Georgia Friendship Group of the Kuwait National Assembly in Tbilisi Parliament, Bagratovani Hall.
As G. Agulashvili stated, our countries have high potential to enhance friendship and cooperation. He thanked the guests for humanitarian aid rendered by Kuwait to Georgia in 2008. The fact is important that Kuwait has allocated scholarships for Georgian students to allow them be educated in this country.
The parties spoke about economic cooperation, strategic plans as for economic so for regional security. As underlined, Georgia is committed for cooperation in agriculture and tourism.
G. Agulashvili hoped that this visit will become the trigger for these processes. “We are open for partnership as in economic so in security spheres on the regional and international levels”.
The Head of Kuwait-Georgia Friendship Group thanked his Georgian counterparts for hospitality and noted that relations with Georgia are of particular importance. “We would like to enhance our links and cooperation in all spheres”.
The parties agreed to further intensify cooperation for mutual benefit.
The visit started on April 9 and will be accomplished on April 14.
The meetings are scheduled with the Vice-Speaker, G. Sanikidze, the Catholic-Patriarch, His Holiness and Beatitude, Ilia II, the Deputy-Foreign Minister, D. Jalagania, the Deputy-Economic Minister, M. Janelidze and the Deputy-Agrarian Minister, G. Tskipurashvili.
