The meeting of the Speaker, Mr. David Usupashvili with the US Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry

The meeting of the Speaker, Mr. David Usupashvili and the US Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry was dedicated to consideration of current relations aspects and future cooperation issues.
The parties spoke about the document signed yesterday addressing enlargement of cooperation in defense and security sphere within the strategic partnership and discussed pre-election processes.
“We host the US Secretary of State before NATO Warsaw Summit. This visit will once again underline that Georgia and USA further enhance strategic partnership. We spoke about the document signed yesterday, aiming at significant increase of security of Georgia, defense capacity and which will allow us better be involved in international processes important for Georgia. We also spoke that for us, Georgians US support in various directions – economic revival and development of democracy – is of utmost importance. It was symbolic that the representative of the US Democratic Party met with the representative of Georgian Republican Party and we discussed ongoing processes in Georgia and USA because these processes are serious as we have upcoming elections. I wished him success of Democratic Party and he wished success to Georgian Republican Party”, - the Speaker stated.
